Get out your markers, folks. Construction has begun! This will someday be where our house is. That dirt on the right is Nora's room and that dirt by the bobcat is our bedroom and that boulder is in Alec's bathroom.
I got so emotional in seeing actual progress towards our living situation I actually shed a couple tears. I don't think I've been this emotional since I was pregnant. But then again, this "project" is a little like pregnancy. And in keeping with that analogy, this day is like hearing the heartbeat for the first time. You know it is happening, but this is the first tangible evidence of what is to come.
