So, Nora has started picking up cut-up foods, like bananas and sweet potatoes. The problem: she then puts them in her hair.
Tonight is the big night, potentially. The Red Sox may very well win the World Series tonight. History in the making. What on earth would happen if they did??? We will soon find out.
I'm off to the main house to watch the main event!
More tomorrow!

I thought you said you were online...
...okay, I may have been exagerating a little. I have dial up, which as anyone knows is its own private kind of hell. So, today I get sworn in as a CASA, not sure what that is? Well, it stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate and it means that I'll be out there helping a child who has been abused. I am scared and excited at the same time. Here is the website if you want to further educate yourself www.sbcasa.org
Other than that little project, I have been reaclimating to the Santa Barbara lifestyle, which isn't actually all that hard as the music on the local radio stations appears to be the same as when I left three years ago. I mean the first time I heard The Spin Doctors last week it was kind of fun, like a little taste of nostalgia. But after the third playing of Kriptonyte in as many days I realized there was a pattern. Why, oh why does this city cling to the music I avidly listened to in High School. I mean, I need to keep it current, you know listen to what these kids nowadays are listening to.
I don't have time for a pic but I promise to do another one soon...

Someone is a little pissy today...
but at least she looks great. I am completely in love with this sweater, which affirms what I've thought all along. The best perk of having kids is dressing them in fantastic clothes.

Nora's New Digs
This is Nora when she was rooming with us. Despite the fact that she was this happy at 4:30 am, we decided that she needed her own space.
Hi, we're online...
Well, actually Nora is sleeping right now. Of course she is, how else would I be able to be leisurely typing away if she wasn't. We had a good day today. She experienced grass for the first time. Very amusing. She attempted to treat it like the familiar hardwood but found it oddly springy beneath her. She didn't pull out great tuffs of it and put it in her mouth, but rather brushed her hands softly across the top. I'm sure that if she could stand she would have wiggled her toes in it.
